Hello, lovelies! I've missed you and the blog so, so, so much! The vacation has been wonderful and much needed but I am so ready to get back into the swing of things. In fact, I am writing this week's Girl Boss post from my In-Law's house in Boise, Idaho! We still have a long flight back with our toddler so keep us in your thoughts and prayers 😂
I've had the pleasure of reading some really amazing books lately and I, of course, have to share them with you. They are all inspiring, uplifting, and help you get your butt into gear with respect to achieving the best you. If you are a girl boss, mompreneur, boss lady, or goal getter, you absolutely need these books in your life.
You're A BadA$$ At Making Money, by Jen Sincero
I absolutely loved Jen Sincero's book, You Are A Bad Ass. It is the first "self-help" book I read and is still my newbie recommendation for anyone wanting to test the self-development waters. Her book was light and humorous while still having a major impact on my self-worth and willingness to change.
Years later, Jen continues to rock my world with her follow-up book, You Are A Bada$$ At Making Money. This book is also light and humerous, while still having a major impact on my beliefs surrounding money. She does make a couple of jokes which could be politically inclined, but aside from that minor rhetoric, the book is gold. Such an easy and fun read while still having substance. Not an easy feat. Bravo!
The Desire Map Experience, by Danielle LaPort
This book is a game changer when it comes to how you view goals. I absolutely love the way it has made me look at what I want in life and how I go about getting it. If you feel stuck or unfulfilled with your strategy on achieving goals, you definitely need this book in your life.
In her book, The Desire Map, Danielle shows you how to view your goals from your place of "why." Meaning, instead of listing your goals by the end result (eg. I want a Range Rover) she teaches you to seek them from your place of why (eg. I want to feel abundant). Such a minor tweak in how you go after your goals can have such a major impact on your daily life.
Worthy: Boost Your Self-Worth to Grow Your Net Worth by Nancy Levin
This book makes it to my top two self-help books of all time. Yes, it is that good. If you just read this book and Hal Elrod's miracle morning, you would be set for life. Life changing books!
If you have any self-limiting beliefs about money (eg. money is hard to get, you have to work hard to get money, there isn't enough money, etc.) you absolutely need to read this book. The book is geared more towards women, but the value in it can be applied to anyone.
I love books with tasks or worksheets in order to work through your issues and this book is all about working through your issues. I've had several "aha!" moments while reading this book and promise that if you put in the work, you will too. Absolutely love this book and cannot recommend it enough!
That concludes my current reads. Please let me know if you have any interesting books you would recommend as I am always on the hunt for the next great book. As always, don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss out on any future freebies or awesome content.
