Girl, do I have some awesome favorites for you this month! I usually post my beauty favorites in conjunction with baby and lifestyle but because I had so many beauty favorites, I felt they deserved their own post. You can either watch the video by clicking the image below, or read the post by scrolling down.
1. NYX Total Control Drops
I've been working on a series for May that's all about getting your groove back as a new momma. Part of that involves self tanning. Tanning, hot. Non-Matching Foundation, not hot. Enter the NYX Total Control Drops. Instead of having to buy all of my favorite foundations in darker shades, I simply add a couple of NYX Total Control Drops and viola! I now have foundation that matches my 'sun kissed' skin.
I purchased the lightest and darkest shades so that I can create perfect looks in both summer and winter. I LOVE being my own makeup alchemist.
2. MAC Blushes- Fleur Power and Cantaloupe
These two blushes combined are perfection! Fleur Power provides a rosy, flushed effect while cantaloupe creates a subtle sun kissed glow. This gives you the perfect Spring and Summer cheek, combining both seasons into one beautiful look!
Both of these blushes are matte so they will not highlight pores or fine lines and will not compete with a highlight should you wish to apply one. An absolute favorite!

3. MAC Duo Fiber Brush 187
I have been all about the duo fibered brushes lately. I feel that they provide beautiful blending with minimal effort. As a busy momma, I am all about the minimal effort when it comes to applying makeup.
Don't let the picture below fool you, the MAC 187 is a large brush that is able to quickly deliver product. This brush has been amazing at applying my bronzer while effortlessly blurring any harsh lines that might appear during application. It has been used non stop through the month of April and is a total favorite!
4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent
Obsessed would be putting it mildly. I am in love with Incandescent from the Hourglass palate below. It is the center shade and is amazing for mid to darker skin tones. I typically use the shade, Diffused Light, which is lighter and yellow toned. However, I was finding that Diffused Light was just too white for my newly tanned skin. I say "tan," but I am extremely pale and self-tanner only gets me to a mid tone complexion 😂
I decided to try Incandescent and am in love with the natural and subtle highlight it gives my skin. The Hourglass powders provide such a beautiful glow without being overly dramatic, making it perfect for no-makeup-makeup days or natural daytime looks. Soooo pretty!
5. Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Foundation
My skin is back to being combo to oily so I was on the hunt for a medium to full coverage foundation that wouldn't feel cakey. Spring is in full swing with thunderstorms and humidity so I wasn't wanting something that would leave me feeling gross within the hour.
🙌 Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Foundation totally fits the bill. It provides a medium to full coverage satin finish. So pretty and does not leave you feeling like you have a thick layer of makeup, nor does it settle into fine lines. Absolutely love this foundation. It has been on constant repeat this month.
6. Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum
I have major hyperpigmentation from acne scarring and pregnancy, so I was looking for something to brighten and even out my complexion. I purchased the Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum during Ulta's 28 Days of Beauty Event along with a brightening kit. However, the serum is the only thing I've used so far and feel that it can definitely be a stand-alone product!
I used it for about two weeks straight and saw amazing results. My skin looked so much more even and the hyperpigmentation from the acne scarring was greatly diminished. I've used hydroquinone before and feel that my skin reacted to the Vitamin C Serum in a much more positive way. I absolutely love this product.
Keep in mind that, as with all skincare, you have to use it continuously in order for it to work. With that said, it is a total fave and a total repurchase!
That concludes my monthly beauty favorites for April. Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? What have you been loving? I love to try new products and welcome any recommendations!
