This week's mommy post is one that I personally love to read or watch. I love seeing how other moms manage their time and love to implement new elements that might make my day more productive. In this post I share with you an hourly breakdown of what we do on a typical day and what tips I use to keep baby asleep through the night.
Preliminaries
This post will be structured around my baby and I. I am an attorney with a part-time case load, blogger and stay/work-at-home mom. Because of my limited case load, I do not go in to court frequently and can do most of my work from home. The following is a typical day at Casa Haas:
Schedule
7:00 a.m.
Baby wakes up and gets diaper changed, then we have cuddles for about 30 min.
7:30 a.m.
We make breakfast and baby plays while momma catches up on emails, comments, and social media.
9:30 a.m.
I clean up the kitchen and start a load of laundry. If baby starts crying, I pick him up and put him in the Boba carrier while I finish picking up.
10:30 a.m.
Baby takes first nap of day and momma finally showers and then gets some work done.
12:30 p.m.
Baby is up from his nap and ready for a diaper change. I feed him baby food and 4 ounces of milk while eating my lunch 🍴
1:30 p.m.
Baby gets an outfit change and tummy time in whatever room I am zone cleaning that day. I finish putting the wash in the dryer and head back to play with baby who is mega fussy by this point.

3:30 p.m.
It's time for an 8 ounce bottle and a nap.
4:00 p.m.
Baby is finally asleep and I get an hour of either some much needed quiet time, yoga, or more work.
5:00 p.m.
Baby is up from his nap and ready to play. I place him in his exersaucer and fold clothes. I usually play music or listen to an Audible audio book at this time.
6:30 p.m.
Daddy is home and gets some play time with baby while I get dinner ready.
7:30 p.m.
Dinner is ready and we are all ready to eat. Baby gets 4 ounces and takes a cat nap. 30 min or so.
8:30 p.m.
Baby is up and ready for his bedtime routine. Bath time, pjs, snuggles and an 8 ounce bottle. I make sure he drinks all 8 ounces or he wakes up during the night.
9:30 p.m
Baby is asleep for the night. I know this might be a late bedtime for some but this is what works best for our family. Corey gets home late on some days and I want to make sure baby gets enough daddy time.
10:00 p.m.
It's mommy time! I've been practicing the "miracle morning" at night. It just fits our schedule best at this moment in our lives. In short, I practice techniques discussed in the miracle morning, by Hal Elrod.
11:00 p.m.
At this time I either do some more work, work on the blog, or unwind with social media until midnight.
12:00 a.m.
It's finally my bed time!
Hope you enjoyed taking a peek into our day. Let me know what schedule tips work best for you!

Great routine. Wish I had made it work that well for me when mine were younger and had a great planner to help me along. I had a self made one and wasn't half as cute as they are now but made it work and it semi helped. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Not all days go so smooth, lol. I have to be willing to go with the flow ;) But I honestly, wouldn't have it any other way.
